THE PIG TAX Check this out this is true. I can give you documentation if you can't find it yourself. A vote by 30.347 American farmers in Aug. & Sept. of 2000 to stop their pig tax dollars from being used to put them out of business was voided by the Bush administration almost as soon as they came to office in 2001. This immoral act of canceling the vote of small family farmers in favor of giant agribusiness dishonors the sacrifices of everyone that has ever served liberty. This is a violation of the farmers constitutional rights and the law of the land: Title 7 Chapter 79 U.S.C.4812. This is one farmers resent statement. "The Pig Tax. Much ado has been made by political pundits over the recent elections in Afghanistan. President Bush hails it as a great day for democracy and proof of a successful war. Three generations of my family, along with 30,344 other U.S. hog farmers, voted in a government sponsored election on wither to continue the pig tax. The majority voted to abolish this smelly abomination. This exercise in democracy in America was set aside, nullified by the Bush administration. I bitterly resent sending our sons and daughters to die so Afghan's can vote, while the Bush administration so nonchalantly cancels democracy here at home when it fails their agribusiness test! Alvin Jenkins Speaks The American Agriculture Movement was honored to have Alvin Jenkins , one of its founders, speak to its membership at the 2001 convention. Alvin included the following in his presentation.
Twenty and three years ago farmers brought forth in this nation a new movement, conceived out of desperation, dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great case of law, testing whether this organization, or any organization, so conceived, and so dedicated can long endure. We are met in the great courts of the federal government. We have come to demand a lawful decision, whether the written federal law or any law is for one or for all. it is all together fitting and proper that we should do this.
But, in a larger sense, we must dedicate, we must consecrate, we must honor this movement for the brave men, living and dead that have fought and struggled to save our way of life. The world will very little note or long remember what they said, but we should never forget what they stood for. It is for us the living, rather to be dedicated to the unfinished work which they have thus far so nobly advanced.
It is rather for us to be dedicated to the great tasks remaining before us, that from those who struggled before us we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave their last full measure of devotion.
We here highly resolve that their work shall not have been in vain and that is nation, under god, shall have a new birth of freedom. That the courts of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish. In their finding, all shall follow the law and that will mean parity for all.
